A founding member of Heart and Vascular Care, Dr. Kakkar received his medical degree from the University of Delhi in New Delhi India. His internship and residency were spent at the New York Medical College. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the Louisiana State University followed by his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Dr. Kakkar is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society of Coronary Angiography & Intervention. He has authored numerous articles in interventional cardiology and has received multiple awards nationally. He is board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. His expertise includes Interventional Cardiology, Coronary Angioplasty, Coronary Stents, Peripheral Arterial Stents and Pacemakers. He was recently appointed as the Director of the new Cardiac Cath Lab at Northside Forsyth Hospital. Dr. Kakkar is married with three children. He enjoys participating in community functions, traveling and spending time with his family. |

His internship was completed at Civil Hospital, Dow Medical College in Karachi. Dr. Khetpal completed his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Khetpal is a member of the American Medical Association and American College of Cardiology. He has been actively involved in multiple publications and clinical research projects for various Cardiology Drug Trials. Dr. Khetpal is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. Dr. Khetpal is married with two children. He enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with his family. |

Dr. Beach received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University. Dr. Beach was honored as the chief resident in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky followed by his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Beach has a research interest in stent thrombosis and has presented his research at national cardiology conferences. He is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Beach is a member of American College of Cardiology and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. His expertise includes interventional cardiology, general cardiology, preventive cardiology, peripheral vascular disease and peripheral vascular interventions. Dr. Beach is married with four children and enjoys outdoor activities, watching college football and spending time with his family. |
Dr. Bhatt received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia after graduating summa cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, where he was honored as Chief Fellow. Dr. Bhatt has presented his research at the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions and has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters. He is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Bhatt is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His expertise includes interventional cardiology, general cardiology, advanced lipidology, and vascular medicine. Dr. Bhatt is married with two children and enjoys cycling and spending time with his family. |
